The Gardener

I know your garden through and through,

Every leaf and petal, I nurtured.

I watered your grass and tended your soil,

And left my own garden deserted.

I planted my lillies where your poppies lay,

And daisies among your Roses.

And while your new garden begins to open,

The gateway to mine, it closes.

Spring now here, your flowers a-bloom,

Your garden no longer needs tending.

You cast me away, to a land of my own,

I am alone and my garden needs mending.

Now My daffodils are dying and I don’t know what to do.

One Day

One day there’ll be no goodbye,

One day is coming soon.

One day we’ll no longer cry,

One day is coming.

One day the birds will sing for all

One day we’ll hear their tune

One day we’ll hear Earth’s mighty call

One day is coming soon.

One day the world will sing with joy

The poor are poor no more

One day there will be no war

No quarrels, no struggles to endure.

One day I’ll wake up next to you

One day the world will be perfect

One day life won’t do us wrong

And one day we’ll deserve it,

One day we will deserve all of it…

One day one day will be our everyday…

One day is all we need.

Virtue

Man
A pillar
A symbol
inscribed in the architecture of the universe

Limbs outstretched
Reaching the very edges
Connecting the human form with the divine cosmos

The circle
-complete
The square
-Uniform

Life
stable, yet imbalanced

Eternal, yet finite

The conscience of man

Recent

Now forever part of an infinite code

inevitable

Petals

Petals fall gently

-Laying softly on the breeze-

Whisked towards the sun.

Still not sparkling

His life grew stagnant
-Like lonely water.

No upstream, no downstream, no current.
-Just water.

The essence of life
-Water
But water alone
-Lifeless.

Bring the winds.

Bring the storm.

Still water has no spark.

Laced in the code of the cosmos
Lies a value of heavenly design.
So small, yet ever so infinite
Spiraled round a golden shrine.

The fabric of the universe

The Fall of the Dammed

The Fall

Sudden.
The heavens opened up below our feet.
Our wings held us no longer.
-Dragged-
an ancient force tugging,
Pulling.
Dragging.
All bodies
Funneled down t’wards the depths.
A ray of flesh
Shining down from the heavens above.

The Dammed
Gazing.
Staring.
Looking up at the heavens above.
First came the light.
The clouds parted,
Releasing bright
sharp
Light.
Then darkness.
The gap filled.
Endless bodies,
Heavenly no longer,
Tightly thrust.
Squeezed.
Through the tear,
A rip in paradise.
Thousand by thousand.
The bodies plummet
Into the fiery furnace,
N’eath the heavens above.

The Dammed,
Screaming,

Falling.

Ablaze

Eyes burn bright
On sleepless nights
Staring into dancing flames
Watching a world burn within.

Walking the cobblestone
A building engulfed
People screaming
People burning
A flaming renaissance.

Da Vinci’s hand,
Dante’s design,
Shakespearean.

Inside the embers
So clear,
so crisp.
A beautiful tragedy.

-Transcendent-

A silhouetted rider
Mounts a white horse
Rearing up above the flames.
Terror lay in its eyes,
Evil laced the rider’s.

The horse’s scream
-distant-
But the stallion close enough to touch.

Their shadows given shape By the amber glow behind.

The vision
-Extinguished-
As the world,
The world on fire
Now In ashes.
