Lego House

I built my walls brick by brick.
Plastic windows allow a view.
Colours outside reflect those within.
Colours of red, yellow, green… black and blue.

My roof at the edge of collapse,
My walls are easily shattered.
If something were to break through,
All my pieces would be scattered.

Things that break through, often never stay,
But I have my pieces, and that’s okay.
As soon as they’re gone, my construction begins.
Piece by piece, My heart stings sings

Over time my walls grow tall.
Over time I build and build.

Appearing indestructible…
My fragile walls stand strong

My vulnerable heart
encased inside,
my
Tenuous. Lego. House.

Impasto

At enternity’s gate
-Two souls dance-
Leaving footprints in thick paint.

As White petals orbit round,

Encircling

Under the shade of the almond blossoms.

In a field of gold
-Two souls fell-
Neath the starry starry night.

Two crabs on a beach
Looking out into an endless sea.

Two flowers

In a vase
In a café

At night.

Innocent

Complain thee not for the plain of life

For it is yet to be grasped by your hand.

For the clay is innocent,
and yet to be shaped.

The glass, still merely
Sand.

Fragile

A heart within ice is fragile now
All that is left of the heart lies within the ice itself
The nature of the heart frozen within…

Within the ice the heart is pure
Within the ice it is secure
Within the ice the heart can shatter no more
A glacial barrier only love can thaw

A broken heart is cold and harsh
You won’t know unless you’ve felt it…
And a heart, once broken, can never love again…
Until the ice has melted.

Eden

Everybody’s got a secret garden.
It lingers deep inside.

Between the heart,
and those yet to be worthy,
Are where the gates reside.

When the worthy come forth
And meander through the leaves,

Those beyond the gates of truth
Are found to have been deceived.

What is seen from the outer shell
Is often not within,
And that percieved as happy and free
Are often portraits of torment and sin.

And when the flowers bloom
Amongst those who do not belong,
The gate to the heart closes.

And we are left to ask ourselves…

Is our garden filled with daisies and daffodils?
Or Poppies and Roses.
