Poems
MCMXII
The engineers were first when the hard water struck.
A flood down below, the crew members stuck.
Their voices were heard, but the water grew tall.
Their screams were now drowned, the cold water swallowed them all.
The early settlers alone in their head.
Grew tired of the night and went straight to bed.
Tossing and turning all through the night.
The cold water crept in, they couldn’t put up a fight.
For the water was quick, but their sleep was faster.
How could they sense the incoming disaster?
It swallowed their mattress and then them along too…
Watch out those above, the cold water is coming for you.
Warning bells ring for the incoming flood
The cold water grows taller, it’s coming for blood.
Climbing the stairs to the party above
As the guests cling tightly to the objects they love
But the water grows tall and taller still
Their screams are soon drowned, their lungs start to fill…and fill… and….
The captain stands firm. “What the hell am I thinking?”
He can’t fight the flood, and the ship, she is sinking.
He grabs for the wheel as the cold water strikes him
If he is to go down, he is to go down fighting.
The water grew higher, pulling him to the depths
The captain struggles to the surface, to catch his last breaths
And whilst being dragged
He shut his eyes to pray
To his lord in the sky
He had one last thing to say,
A captain always goes down with his ship,
And we were all captains today.

What Lies in the Dark
What lies in the dark
Is twisted and bent.
Eerily creeping,
-Wandering-
Hiding.
In corners we dare not seek,
Whispering malice unto unconscious thought.
A pale entity
-Moulded- Shoved into blackened crevices,
Those which fearful minds choose to obscure.
What hides in the dark
Is a hollowed shadow.
Lurking,
-Gnawing-
Feasting.
on slices,
-Pieces of essence- left to descend t’wards it’s black, hollow crypt.
A chained beast,
-Performing-
Isolated in it’s own gothic circus.
At the mercy of a master, oblivious to it’s existence.
What dies in the dark
Is broken and weak.
Crawling,
-Crying-
A writhing mass of shattered bones
And scattered flesh.
Born to fear the light
That which many beings
of varying form or plight
Have found comfort in.

Space Rock
Burning blue
Burning bright
Tearing through my starry night,
Sudden hues
Of Flashing light
Burning out
Fading
Falling into nihility

Dead or Alive
Curiosity is the first step to enlightenment
It did not kill the cat
It opened its eyes
It transformed the cat
The cat killed itself

A Grim Truth
An apple a day
-keeps the doctor away,
But the reaper don’t care for your health.
Every day
-you’re an accident away,
From meeting the reaper himself.

The Curse Of the Mothman
This one is a little bit different, I wrote this as a song and thought I would share it here.
Disaster follows me wherever I go, I cant hide away I cant fly away
A cataclysm deep inside my soul please help me please help me
My eyes glow red from all the blood I see
My wings they hang down low
I see the earth crack and the mountains cry
I watch the lava flow
My screech is defening, cant you feel the pain
My wings they beat like a hurricane
I try to warn you of the coming rains
But they’ll brand you insane
The works of Shakespeare right before my eyes
Is that dread I feel
Have you spoken your last goodbye
What was your last meal
I hope you held your loved ones tight
I hope you held them dear
I’m just a drifter running from my past
But the future is what I fear
I hear the heartbeat of a thousand souls
I hear their silence too
I only wish that you believed in me
Just like I believe in you

The Gardener
I know your garden through and through,
Every leaf and petal, I nurtured.
I watered your grass and tended your soil,
And left my own garden deserted.
I planted my lillies where your poppies lay,
And daisies among your Roses.
And while your new garden begins to open,
The gateway to mine, it closes.
Spring now here, your flowers a-bloom,
Your garden no longer needs tending.
You cast me away, to a land of my own,
I am alone and my garden needs mending.
Now My daffodils are dying and I don’t know what to do.

One Day
One day there’ll be no goodbye,
One day is coming soon.
One day we’ll no longer cry,
One day is coming.
One day the birds will sing for all
One day we’ll hear their tune
One day we’ll hear Earth’s mighty call
One day is coming soon.
One day the world will sing with joy
The poor are poor no more
One day there will be no war
No quarrels, no struggles to endure.
One day I’ll wake up next to you
One day the world will be perfect
One day life won’t do us wrong
And one day we’ll deserve it,
One day we will deserve all of it…
One day one day will be our everyday…
One day is all we need.
